Question New Ideas

Hi! I am new here and after reading some ideas posted in here i decided to give some more.

The trading Interface
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It would be nice if the player had a trading interface. I don't mean the trading style where you change to trading mode (i.e. like Ragnarok).
I mean a trading window where you can put up to sell what you want at the price you want. And buy by the same method. Anytime you need to buy something and you want it cheap, instead of shouting WTB, you open your trading interface and see what the other players want to sell at the price they want. Of course this trading interface would be organized by categories like weapons, offhand, material, etc.
Of course this interface would only be available in the cities.

The Collectables
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone has played Final Fantasy. And everyone remembers the monter cards. Now, what if there were cards of monsters in the game? Every monster and it's variants would have a card. And they dropped it or not. I mean when you kill a specific monster there is a change that he may or may not dropped a card. It may be his card or another monster's card. And of course, the Bosses' cards would be the rarest. Then you have a Interface where you can see all your cards and the placeholds for the cards you don't have.
And then you can sell, buy or trade the repeated cards (in the same trade interface i mentioned above).
When i say cards, i mean a collectable. It can be any other thing.

The friends interface
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any one had the esperience of knowing that your friend is Online but where?
You have to ask him. Now, what if the friends interface show where your friends are, the level, etc...
And you even could do a search for specific char, in the case he's not in your friend list.

The armour
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There had been much discussion about the armour. Now this is my idea:
I would prefer the normal RPG kind of armour. Where it is dropped like every other item. Then you can go into the city and customize it for you. kind like the weapons. And what about rings and necklaces? I miss those...
And of course more variety. Not the 5 or 6 different sets existing.
And the existence of rare sets where the whole set would give you special powers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is so many thing i would like to see in guild wars. Actually I'm on level 16 and I am getting bored. Allways the same stuff: Quest, mission, quest...
I'm in Lion's Arch and i know i will get to level 20 pretty soon, and then? One of the main goals for me is reaching a new level, be more powerful. My basic thought is: the game lacks variety. OK, there are plenty of materials, but what about the weapons, shields/offhands, armor?

These are my thoughts.
Thank you for reading.

Trading:
I say this every time someone comes up with a new trading idea. An auction house is the best way to make trading easy and fair, by far.

Collectibles:
Frankly, I couldn't care less about extraneous collectibles. If they don't do anything, then I'd rather have the devs spend time on something else.

Friends:
I could see this lead to stalking. Now, if it was set so that you could only see where your friends are if you both have each other entered as friends, it would be a good idea.

Armor:
I kind of like the current system, since it's easy to find armor (unlike weapons). Unless an auction house-type system gets implemented, I'd rather have it stay the same as it is now. More variety is always nice. Rare sets, however, aren't. One of the key ideas behind this game is that no one will have to grind in order to be competitive in PvE or PvP. If a rare set offers an advantage, it would go against that idea.

If you're only lvl16 on your first character, you still have a lot to see. Once you get to the desert, things get a lot more interesting and challenging. If you're looking to always be advancing in power, this isn't the game for you. The devs have said that character advancement, in this game, means getting more strategic options, not getting more raw power. Personally, I've found that the game has a lot more variety than the only MMORPG that I've played, WoW. Sure, WoW has a larger variety of equipment (although most of it just changes a few numbers around, instead of having different dynamics), but GW has such a larger variety of abilities. Instead of having to play a healer from lvl1-60 or nuker from lvl1-60, I can change my role and gameplay style at will. Playing a Warlock is the same at lvl35 as it is at lvl15. Playing a Necromancer can be completely different at lvl20 than at lvl19, if you want it to be.

Thought #1 -- a new trading interface is in design according to an old fansite friday question... it's just going to be after the new area, and the observer mode (just knowing that they want these in quick...)

Thought #2 -- Collectables would be nice, and pretty fun... i would suggest that they make their own approach as to what should be "collectable"... and if these collectables took part as a side mini-game... that would be excellent.

Thought #3 -- Friends list upgrade is "so-so", i really don't think it's needed, and wouldnt suggest it, but if it gets in... i wouldn't be annoyed. I'm feeling about like that with this.

Thought #4 -- I actually highly agree with this, for one reason... Extra gold sinks! I think that any armor really could be customized to fit anyone... just add in a "blacksmith" npc... and blaaam. I would suggest that better (up to the current maximum of stats) or rare armor would take alot of gold, and maybe even some supplies to finish "customizing"... since a smaller piece of armor would require more supplies to finish up... but larger armor would end up costing a little more on the gold size, since it would "take longer", or maybe be harder to customize to a certain fit...

End of story.

Well, you see not all people think like you. I'm not in the game just to finishing it, or for GvG. I'm in the game for fun. And I've seen some posts about people who get bored of the same things over and over like killing, merchant and kill again.
Exemple: here

When i said collectibles, I gave the monster cards exemple, but as I also said, it maybe something else, something to ease your mind of the constant killing. Because I only play 1 hour/day. I get tired of the game, cause there's nothing else to do except the killing.
